Groups & workshops
We understand the value of shared experiences and meaningful connection. That’s why ASM hosts both one-off workshops and ongoing groups designed specifically for the neurodivergent community.
These options also provide a more affordable alternative for those who may not be able to access one-to-one support. All workshops and groups can be self-funded, employer-funded, or covered through an existing employment grant.

Women In Work Groups
Our annual Women in Work Group is facilitated by Charlotte Leighton and provides a year-long space for autistic/AuDHD women to meet virtually each month and build a community of working women.
The Women in Work group (WIW) is designed for up to 12 autistic women who want to connect with others and take part in virtual discussions. It offers a supportive space to explore the unique experiences of being an autistic woman in the workplace, and to share tips, strategies, and personal stories.
The group chooses its own topics, and Charlotte facilitates meaningful discussion, group coaching, wellbeing strategies, and social time.
The group meets once a month for a 2-hour session, discussing topics chosen by members, with additional time for casual conversation and connection.
Membership runs for one year (12 sessions in total), and we ask members to commit to the full year to get the most out of the experience.

❤️ I've loved being a part of the WiW group. Being a neurodivergent individual in a workplace full of neurotypical colleagues can be incredibly challenging and you can feel like the only sober person at a party. Spending time with women who share that bizarre reality, swapping stories and strategies, has been empowering.
❤️ It has provided me with the opportunity to take the mask off, without the fear of being judged.
❤️ Our WhatsApp group has been like having a team of cheerleaders in my pocket!
❤️ The group has been fantastic and such a great support to me!
❤️ Charlotte’s knowledge and gentle encouragement has really helped me understand myself and learn to advocate for my needs at work.
❤️ Sharing common experiences with a group of people who intuitively understand me has been so powerful. Suddenly I’m not the “difficult one”. My experiences and reactions make sense and are understood, my needs respected.
Exploring your Autism
ASM are excited to announce that ASM have new dates in the diary for our supportive online workshop ''Exploring your Autism''
This workshop is for adults (18+) who have been recently diagnosed as autistic or AuDHD or awaiting a diagnosis.
It provides a safe, inclusive space for up to 12 participants to explore their autistic/AuDHD identity through guided discussion and self-reflection - deepening understanding of what their diagnosis means personally and practically.
Facilitated by Charlotte Leighton, a neurodivergent coach, trainer and facilitator, the workshop is led with empathy, warmth and deep understanding. Charlotte creates a space where every voice can be heard - supporting participants to better understand themselves, feel validated in their experiences, and connect meaningfully with others.
If you are unsure what to expect, Charlotte would be happy to connect with you in the virtual space to explain more before committing.

❤️ ''I just wanted to say a huge thank you to you for the webinar; I have found it so valuable. Feeling ‘heard’ through other people’s similar experiences; having a broad not narrow range of life experiences to witness, being able to talk and share, and some great resources such as the outdated rainbow vs the spectrum wheel, learning about fluctuating capacity, common feelings post diagnosis and issues around sharing - plus the list of resources you are adding to the slides, which will be brilliant to refer to.''
❤️ ''I was feeling a bit sad about missed opportunities in my life due to late diagnosis, but now I feel a little hopeful about a new chapter.''
❤️ ''It’s great to have adult-specific content as in my own personal research experience much information is aimed at children and young people.''
❤️ 'I really loved this workshop. I really loved being able to communicate nonspeaking being someone partially verbal. I loved connecting with everyone and I think I’ll try to remember on really bad days that others in the workshop experience the same or similar things to me.''
