Workplace support & mentoring

Workplace Support & Mentoring provides ongoing, one-on-one support for neurodivergent employees, with guidance for managers. This on-the-ground service helps embed workplace adjustments and supports employees to develop personalised strategies to thrive at work.

What it is

Structured, time-limited support to help an employee and their workplace put adjustments into practice. It combines one-to-one mentoring for the employee with practical guidance for their manager or HR, so changes stick.

This often follows a Workplace Needs Assessment, but it can also be used on its own when the needs are already clear.

Who it’s for

A good fit if you want:

  • Support that moves from recommendations to day-to-day change

  • Help where challenges have been ongoing or are starting to escalate

  • A clearer, more consistent way of working between an employee and their manager

  • A practical follow-through after Access to Work or internal recommendations

  • Support for a group of new starters who need consistent structure and check-ins

What to expect

  • Agreed scope and goals with the people involved

  • One-to-one sessions with the employee

  • Practical guidance for the manager or HR, as agreed

  • A short, clear action plan covering adjustments and ways of working

  • Review check-ins to see what is working and what needs to change

Outcomes (what often changes)

Organisations often see:

  • Adjustments implemented more consistently

  • Better communication and fewer misunderstandings

  • Improved confidence, wellbeing and stability for the employee

  • Managers feeling clearer about what helps and what to do next

  • Reduced risk of issues escalating into sickness absence or formal processes
